Fun Night

We had a great time last night at the Girlfriends Fun Night. Bingo was the game of the night and alot of hollering, hooting, dancing, laughter, food, pink, and bingo was going on. We had a good turn out with 43 ladies. If you didn't get to make it last night maybe you can make the next fun night. If you have a suggestion for fun just let me know. We missed you...

Moments...

Sarah came by after Grayson's doctor appointment. I love it, they can just stop by. And I'm home! Ellie wanted to write. She's so obsessed with pen and paper right now. She doesn't even mind sitting in her high chair so she can draw.

I've also enjoyed watching little Gray sleep and make all these little faces and smiles while he dreams. He is such a precious baby.

I love them so...

Happy Anniversary, My Love...

Today, David and I have been married for 31 years! That just seems incredible. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and together we have shared a very blessed life. I just look around at all He has given us and stand amazed. Our blessings aren't material...there eternal. eternal in the sense of our salvation of course, but eternal in the love and life that goes forward with this amazing family He has given us. They are truly our inheritance.

We have had an amazing, whirl wind of these 31 years, haven't we babe?! I love you more than life itself and can't imagine life without you. Thank you for loving me when so much of the time I haven't been very loveable. I have definitely challenged your mercy gift at times. ;) You so love me uncondtionally. I couldn't ask for more. From the moment I first saw you, I knew. You were the one God had for me. That was 33 years ago! Whew...where have all the years gone scurrying to? I pray we have at least 31 more!

The best is yet to be...

Check out my present...

Yesterday after lunch, David had run an errand. When he got back to the office, he came in asking why I hadn't been answering my phone. I told him it was in the car. I was leaving to go to the bank and run a couple of errands and then home to prepare for Bible Study. He walked me out and told me to check my phone. I did and told him there was not a missed call from him. He said hmm, well let me try again and see if it comes through. I was staring at the phone telling him it wasn't coming through when I heard music coming from somewhere. He had this surprised look on his face and looked down at his pocket. This is what he pulled out, saying "Happy 31st Anniversary, babe!"...

It's the Sprint Instinct, their version of the Iphone!

I've been wanting one ever since I seen a friend's iphone! She showed me all it does and I was hooked! I've never been real hip on cell phones and had just gotten pretty savy with my new old one. Finally getting pretty good with texting. Now I'm back to square one on figuring out this phone. But it sure is fun! And the best part...it holds LOTS of pictures of grandbabies!

Thanks baby! I LOVE IT!

My Little Boy Wonder...

Landon used to draw when he was younger. Action figures. People. Ninja turtles fighting. It was quite spectacular. He could entertain himself for HOURS. Literally. He would draw an entire battle. with sound effects. and special effects. I use to marvel at him. Somewhere he just stopped.

We have really been after him to draw again. I keep telling them I think God spoke and told me to tell them they're suppose to write a children's book. sarah write, landon illustrate. I don't know whether it was God or not, but I do know God gave them both the talent and I believe they will use it in a big way some day.

Well, sarah wanted landon to draw something for grayson's room. he googled grayson and found that robin's (of batman and robin) alias was dick grayson. so he drew robin...in action of course. with his cape flying behind him. the "R" on his costume of course stood also for "reed."

We were driving to odessa on saturday afternoon and I got to thinking...what else was robin called..."Boy Wonder."

On grayson's wall are big letters, like ellie's "dream", that say "Behold Wonder", hence, Boy Wonder. I told sarah I was going to get letters to put after the Behold that spell Boy...Behold Boy Wonder. Anyway, he's become my sweet boy wonder. don't you think so...

Grayson Reed arrived in style!

Grayson Reed Henry
8 lb 9 oz 21 inches long
Born Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 12:43 p.m.

He is beautiful. No, you don't understand...B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!

I cannot get enough of staring glassy eyed at him and kissing his sweet cheeks and smelling his sweet smell. I'm again...smitten.

In a nutshell...Sarah was a 2 when she arrived at the hospital at 6, broke her water at 8:30, then the epidural, a 4 at 9, an 8 at 11, a 10 at 12, pushed through 4 contractions and...viola, he popped out at once! Just a perfect labor and delivery...well, at least from where I was standing. As baby Gray entered this world, tears were streaming down my cheeks and once again my heart opened wide to welcome him into my life. Thank you Sarah for this beautiful grandson. You did so good!

Thank you precious Lord, for this new joy, this moment that took my breath away and held it suspended until he cried out and I let go and tears fell. You are gracious to give us beautiful gifts...treasures. The circle of life took one more turn today. I am in awe once again.

Here are a few moments I'm sharing with you...

We got us a cuddler!
