Just Ellie...

I haven't posted any photos lately and they're piling up, and besides Auntie Jo wants to see her!

Landon put a diaper on her head and she wore it forever. Never tried to take it off, yet she pulls a bow off in no time. Guess this is more her style! ;)

We went to Gattiland when Kylah & Michael were here last weekend. Ellie had a party with her food, which is quite rare. She usually is very neat. This time she went to town with a piece of pizza and chocolate pudding. It was quite funny. The picture doesn't even show half as bad as it really was.

Then Grama (we are working on a new name, since she seems to be calling me...ELMO! Oh my! Half the time she calls me MaMo, that wouldn't be too bad, or maybe I should just work on Marme!) anyway back to what Grama did, she took her in the game room. You would have thought she was at a carnival with all the sounds and lights and her "WOW!" She really liked riding the motorcycle and the carousel.

Oh, and I guess I never posted pictures of Christal's baby shower. Somehow I didn't get not one picture of Christal on my camera, although I know I took one with her with the cake.? It was quite lovely on Sarah's patio. The weather was perfect, until it started to rain. About the time everything was moved inside...it stopped. Of course. She got alot of nice things. We are so excited for our little Addi to arrive. I'm praying she arrives sometime between now and Wednesday. I leave on Thursday for my niece's graduation in Odessa, then my other niece's wedding shower on Saturday, and then Sunday afternoon we leave for Lake Tahoe for a much needed vacation. we are going with our friends, Mike and Dawn, and I absolutely can't wait. But AFTER I booked airlines tickets it just popped in my head..."On No, that's when addi is due!" I cried my eyes out! This is my grandbaby! I need to be here. I need her to come early. Somebody pray!!

Mug & Muffin with Friends

Had a good turnout this morning for the Mug & Muffin. Around 20 ladies came and did nothing but eat muffins, drink coffee, and visit with friends. Kinda cool. Everything was beautiful, except for the HEAT! Oh my goodness, it was HOT! And sticky. David asked if we glistened. I let him know, there was some sweatin going on. I'm going to ocntinue to do this every other month at my house, but that would make the next one in July, and unless God's graces us with a very mild July...uh we will be in DeLana's Dining Room, instead of DeLana's Deck! ;) But come Fall, it ought to be quite pleasant. I enjoy having everyone over. Loved it.

Here are a few pics of all the sweet ladies and some of the pretty flower spots today. If you didn'tmake it this time, shoot for July!

Mug & Muffin

If you're not busy in the morning, throw on something comfortable, pull your hair back, skip the makeup, and come over to my deck for a quite time with friends. I'll have the muffins and coffee or tea and all you got to do is bring your mug! We'll visit with each other and get better acquainted and then you can be on with your day. What a great start to a "memorial" weekend! Hope to see your here! Oh, It's at 10 and you can come through the side gate for quick access!

Master Pastor

That's what a few friends at church have deemed David's new name. For fun, of course. It is kinda funny. The whole reason behind this new name is what my favorite honey has just accomplished that I haven't even posted about. How could I not bring attention to such an accomplishment I can't figure out for the life of me.

But sweetheart, I want you to know how very proud I am of all you have accomplished the last 5 years. I know it has been hard balancing family, calling and education, but you have done a great job. I've missed you alot, but seeing you on that stage accepting your Master's degree was one of the proudest moments of my life. It will be a few hard years ahead but earning your Master's of Divinity and then beginning your doctorate will be worth it all. I'm totally behind you baby!

I love you!

Mother & Daughter Tea

All the busy, stress and sleepless nights are now over. It culminated with a beautiful tea on Saturday. I didn't feel like it was pulled together like it usually is, on my part, that is. Mainly because I wasn't able to give it my full attention for as long as I usually do because of the wedding a few weeks before and other weddings we've been involved in and other obligations. It has just been a busy year so far and the summer doesn't look very promising for rest either. But thanks to Maggie for helping me pull it all together this last week.

But the hostesses did an incredible job as usual. I'm posting a few pictures, but they just do not do justice to the work the ladies did on their tables. I just can not thank them enough for such a wonderful job! If you didn't come, you just have to come next year to experience the beauty in person.

The one area I was lacking was table hostesses. So if you haven't, you should be a hostess. That was an area that took alot more time, setting up extra tables and trying to hostess more than one. I had a couple that did that, bless their hearts. And with all the little tidbit advice of helpful hints for next year, I think I'm going to have a First Ladies Tea Team from now on to organize and set-up little details for the big day. It would take the big load off me to try to think of and remember those things. With my crammed full mind, I'm running around the day of trying to do last minute details I forgot to do. That's something I should probably do while they are fresh on my mind.

All in all, it was a very beautiful, fun day with family and friends, and I wouldn't have traded it and the hard work for anything. Hope you all can join me next year for tea!
