All the busy, stress and sleepless nights are now over. It culminated with a beautiful tea on Saturday. I didn't feel like it was pulled together like it usually is, on my part, that is. Mainly because I wasn't able to give it my full attention for as long as I usually do because of the wedding a few weeks before and other weddings we've been involved in and other obligations. It has just been a busy year so far and the summer doesn't look very promising for rest either. But thanks to Maggie for helping me pull it all together this last week.
But the hostesses did an incredible job as usual. I'm posting a few pictures, but they just do not do justice to the work the ladies did on their tables. I just can not thank them enough for such a wonderful job! If you didn't come, you just have to come next year to experience the beauty in person.
The one area I was lacking was table hostesses. So if you haven't, you should be a hostess. That was an area that took alot more time, setting up extra tables and trying to hostess more than one. I had a couple that did that, bless their hearts. And with all the little tidbit advice of helpful hints for next year, I think I'm going to have a First Ladies Tea Team from now on to organize and set-up little details for the big day. It would take the big load off me to try to think of and remember those things. With my crammed full mind, I'm running around the day of trying to do last minute details I forgot to do. That's something I should probably do while they are fresh on my mind.
All in all, it was a very beautiful, fun day with family and friends, and I wouldn't have traded it and the hard work for anything. Hope you all can join me next year for tea!

it was a beautiful tea! i had a great time being a hostess, and will definitely be one against next year. i know it isn't very dainty, but i could eat 25 scones! :) they are so good.
i'm sorta worried about what my butt is looking like in that picture of me singing on the stage. what does gaining butt weight have to do with child-bearing, honestly? they have no involvement with your butt...
Awwww! It looks so pretty!
I really missed the tea this year. I had such a blast hosting last year. I thought about you several times this last week hoping it was all coming together well.
Sorry we didn't get to see Pastor Friday and Saturday...what a bummer!
It was a great time marme....I think one of the best ones "we" have done. Look forward to next year. I love you.
