What happens at Gramas, Stays at Gramas

That's what David texted Sarah tonight. She texted back, That's scary.

They were both referring to last night. We had gone to dinner and Sam's and decided to stop by Lennon and Christal's to see the progress on the baby nursery. Landon and Sarah were hanging out with them. The guys were painting the nursery and the girls were planning and dreaming about the nursery. Just a good all around great night. Ellie was in the mix. Well, she smiled that great big smile that grabs our heart, when we walked throught the front door, and then a few minutes later, cried that cry that grabs our heart, when we started to leave. Well Pa says, You want to go with Grama and Pa? She did. And that was the beginning of her adventure with her all nighter at the grandparents. After playing the night away and reading her book a hundred times, she didn't want to go to bed. So after a few minutes of screaming in her bed and me saying give her a few more minutes as I was going to the bathroom, I came out to find Pa standing there with her and her grinning at me from behind her paci. We tried it again about 30 minutes later and she was down after about 5 minutes. She woke about 3am and Pa shot out of the bed to retrieve her to our bed. She did great there. She's a wild sleeper though. This morning after the phone woke her at 7:30, david says, grama's bed is going to be a fun place to stay. yeah. scary, sarah. he's out of control. he did keep her while I was gone, with out a blink of an eye. fed her breakfast, changed a dirty diaper, and put her down for a nap, twice. twice, because he tried to go in and check on her the first time and woke her up. we had a ball, all night and all day! this is the life!
