New Year, New Goals!

Wow, the year is already flying by. I can not believe it is the 16th day of january already! What have I done so far with this year? Not a thing! Losing weight and starting an exercise plan has yet to be started. Oh, I've cut down and watching what I'm eating a little better, but part of that has come with helping David with his eating. He was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes right after thanksgiving which has made us be a lot more aware of what we eat and what we put in the house. But so far, I've probably only shed a portion of what I gained through the holiday eating binge. And since we are suppose to take part in the walk/run in the spring, we really should be preparing for that. That probably should be a priority.

I've had an upper respiratory infection for a week now that I am fighting off hard. Getting better. Hopefully, after I recover I will get on the ball.

I have a very personal goal of getting fit this year. This is my "50th" year of life! I can't believe I actually put that in writing. Seems like I just turned 40 last year! This 10 years passed so incredibly fast. I have 7 months to start the next 10 in a little healthier state. So hopefully by the time it gets here I will be healthier because of exercise and about 40 lbs lighter.

I could use all the encouragement possible.
