Weddings...

We got back last night from out ten day, 2600 mile trek over five states. We really had a good trip. The weather was so cool and beautiful in Colorado and the mountains...beautiful. We spent a lot of time with family and did a lot of reminiscing. Fun Valley is the place we took the kids every summer when they were growing up so there were lots of memories made. Now Amy has made one more really big memory. Her and Alex were married on the first at a beautiful bed & breakfast right outside of Southfork, CO. It was just a small gathering of family, about 28 of us. Very intimate and beautiful. I loved it! After it was over and we were taking pictures with the wonderful photographers, I told someone, "I'm beginning to rethink this wedding thing, maybe a small intimate wedding is the way to go." It was just so special. Amy looked absolutely gorgeous...so did Alex! We spent another day fishing, which I might add, I caught 6 trout, fun! Then we headed out on Thursday for the 1000 miles over to Little Rock. We spent 12 hours getting to Oklahoma City and drove between 5 and 6 on Friday on in to Little Rock. We were attending my friends son, Scotty's wedding there. He and Crystal got married on Saturday morning at 10. I have to admit when we were getting up early to get ready, I thought who gets married at 10 in the morning! But the reception was incredible. A full breakfast bar! There was even a couple of chefs cooking gourmet omelets! Wow, it just don't get much better than that! We drove back to SA after the wedding and stopped in Dallas at Pappadeauxs for a birthday dinner. Except for all the many miles, we had a really wonderful time. Two beautiful weddings and precious time with family and friends. A few more moments...
